Meet Jill Jackoboice

Jill Jackoboice has devoted most of her 20-plus years as a practicing attorney to family law matters. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri and continued her education in Columbia, earning her law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. Jill is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri.

Jill emphasizes clear and candid communication with her clients, as well as with opposing counsel. She works to resolve disputes without litigating whenever possible, but is an accomplished litigator who is always prepared to advocate for her clients in court if a fair agreement cannot be reached through negotiation or mediation.

Because she appears regularly in courtrooms in both Kansas and Missouri, Jill has vast experience and good relationships with other family law attorneys and judges on both sides of the state line. She is highly regarded by judges and her legal peers in both states. In 2005, Jill was the recipient of the Congenial Counselor Award presented to her by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

Jill will focus on leading you through the process in a cost-effective manner, while ensuring that your rights and best interests are always protected. She will not ask you to move off a reasonable request, but she will help you determine when it makes sense to stand firm and when it may be wiser to find a solution without litigating.

She also serves as a third-party mediator, facilitating conversations between both parties in a family-related dispute in an attempt to help them resolve an issue outside of court. The benefits of successful mediation last long after your dispute is resolved.

Jill is a member of the Missouri Bar, Kansas Bar and Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. She has received a BV-Distinguished peer-review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, The Best Lawyers in America has repeatedly included her on its list of the best family law attorneys, and she is a past recipient of the Congenial Counselor Award, which is named by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
